Glycolic acid is a alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that gently exfoliates dead skin cells. It has an antibacterial effects on P. acnes, the bacteria responsible for inflammatory acne. Salicylic acid is a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA), helps get rid of excessive sebum (oil) on the face and is a potent anti-inflammatory ingredient that is powerful in treating acne quickly.
